Toffee arrived at the sanctuary in September 2019 with severe injuries. He was a wild goat kid who became stuck in a tree hanging upside down by his hind legs after being chased by hunters and their dogs. The blood flow to Toffee's hind legs was cut off, and caused him temporary paralysis. After months of ongoing physiotherapy and several vet visits, Toffee made a huge amount of progress. He is now doing incredibly well and can walk, run, and climb on his playground. His mobility is still impacted by his initial injury, so he lives separately from our main goat herd, along with his best friend, Nooch.
Your monthly support of Toffee will help provide him with hay, parasite treatments, hoof care, and yearly vaccinations.
