This sweet little fundraising cookbook brings together a selection of compassionate and delectable dishes.
These treats range from soups, salads and mains, to dreamy desserts and cakes. All recipes are plant-based and include details about allergens such as nuts, soy and gluten. Many recipes have been donated by sanctuary caretakers, WWOOFers and helpers at working bees and have been thoroughly tested by hungry appetites. All proceeds will go to support the animals at the Black Sheep Animal Sanctuary.
The book is beautifully designed by Wellington artist Kate Logan, and features colour photographs and stories about the sanctuary animals, as well as recipes and pictures of selected finished dishes. A Taste of Freedom is 14 x 15 cm, 108 pages, and is spiral bound, for easier use in the kitchen.
