Many working bee volunteers have met Nana, our elderly rescued silver Burmese cat. She is a confident, friendly and demanding little personality who has been a great help to us when socialising wild kittens for rehoming.
Last month we were sad to discover that Nana, now in her twenties, is in the early stages of kidney failure. However, with veterinary care and daily subcutaneous fluids her health is stabilising, and we are optimistic that she may enjoy a couple more years of good quality life.
We've set up a Give-a-little page to help with Nana's mounting vet bills: https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/nanacat/
