The Black Sheep Animal Sanctuary, Otaki, held its first monthly working bee over the summer break.
Many members of the Black Sheep sanctuary management collective, animal lovers and friends attended the week long working bee and celebrated the new year together with vegan feasting, fire, music, dancing and fire baths.
Throughout the week we looked after and played with the animals, (the kittens are doing great and getting really adventurous) lots of people came and went, there were trips to pick up materials, drop off recycling, gather drift wood and stock up on supplies.
Lots of people took turns taking the dogs for walks, feeding everyone and cleaning up. Ka pai!
A really awesome effort by everyone, you rock!!
