An Individual Animal Sponsorship Certificate

Sponsor one of our permanent residents
By making a small regular payment to the Black Sheep Animal Sanctuary you can individually 'adopt' one of our permanent residents and directly contribute towards the cost of their food, vet bills and general care. You will receive a sponsorship certificate, email updates about the sanctuary animals and you can feel proud that you are transforming animal lives. You will also have the opportunity to visit the animals during our summer open days, during which you will be offered a tour of the sanctuary and a vegan afternoon tea. Sponsorship payments vary, starting from just $5 per week. As individual sponsorship contributions do not cover the full cost of animal care, the larger animals may be supported by more than one sponsor. Adopt a pig like Brian
Sponsorship: $10 per week The pigs a the Black Sheep a great fun to play with - pigs are lively, intelligent animals who need lots of stimulation! They are famous for their huge appetites. Your sponsorship contribution will assist with purchasing feed and supplements, along with supporting environmental enrichment activities and preventative veterinary care, including hoof care. This will help us give the pig you sponsor the best possible life we possibly can - a poignant contrast to the experiences of the thousands of pigs who are confined in factory farms. Adopt a bunny like Bunnykin
Sponsorship: $5 per week The sanctuary bunnies live safe and free lives in our fully enclosed predator-proof paddock and we supplement their diets with plenty of treats and rabbit-friendly herbs. They need regular dental care and claw trimming and we devise activities to keep them interested and stimulated. Your contribution will help with purchasing quality food, veterinary care and enrichment, ensuring the rabbit you sponsor lives a contented and healthy life at the sanctuary. Adopt a rooster like Goldy Sponsorship: $5 per week Roosters are sensitive, clever and interactive birds who are often abandoned, neglected or slaughtered. We have over sixty roosters at the sanctuary, and these are just a few of the unique personalities we live with. Your contribution will support a rooster to live a healthy and full life, with nourishing food, quality veterinary care and activities to keep him stimulated. Sponsorship: $10 per week Sheep are social and intelligent beings who form strong relationships both with other sheep and humans - and sometimes also other animals, such as goats. They also need lots of loving care, including extra winter feed, hoof care and parasite treatment. Your sponsorship will help ensure your chosen sheep has quality feed and veterinary care. Adopt a turkey like Zelda
Sponsorship: $5 per week Turkeys are lively animals who enjoy the company of other turkeys and sometimes also human beings. They need shelter, appropriate veterinary care and a nutritious diet including insoluble grit to aid digestion. Your contribution will help enrich the life of your chosen turkey and ensure they receive quality feed and medical care. Sadly, thousands of turkeys are enclosed in factory farms, unable to express their natural behaviours and bred to gain weight abnormally fast. Sponsorship: $10 per week Goats are very social and clever beings who have specific dietary needs. Hoof care and trimming is also very important to prevent injuries and infections. They are also escape artists and need secure fencing to keep them safe. Your donation will help us provide your chosen goat with quality feed, veterinary care and housing - along with playground equipment and activities to keep them entertained. Adopt a cow like Iris Sponsorship: $20 per week There are nearly five million cows in the dairy industry, made pregnant every year and separated from their calves so we can drink their milk. The Black Sheep cows live safe and happy lives with their companions - and also consume vast quantities of feed! Adopt a duck like Daffy or a cockatoo like Caspar
Sponsorship: $5 per week Ducks are fascinating and complex birds who can literally sleep with one eye open! They love the company of other ducks, and enjoy roaming the sanctuary, splashing in paddling pools and troughs, as well as in our wetland area. Sponsoring a duck will help them live happily with plenty of nourishing food, veterinary care and also contribute towards our maintaining ponds and wetlands. Adopt a horse like Chester
Sponsorship: $15 per week The miniature horses at the sanctuary are a real delight! We enjoy giving them the extra care they need to maintain their health and happiness. They have large teeth in small jaws, leading to regular trips to the equine dentist and they are also prone to laminitis and Cushing's disease. However, with careful diet and management, our miniature horses are living rich and contented lives - they particularly enjoy going for walks and exploring new paddocks.
