Recently the third Opportunity for Animals charity store opened in Porirua!

If you are passing, please pop in and find yourself a bargain while helping the animals! Our new shop is on Lydney Place South, beside ASB and Pricebusters in the open area of Porirua mall. We welcome donations of good quality clothing and household goods.

Come and be part of the ‘Stray Cat Strut,’ a fun fashion show on September 3rd 2011 fundraising for a special facility for wild cats at the Black Sheep Animal Sanctuary! http://www.theblacksheep.org.nz

We're looking for animal-friendly people to help out with this fabulous cruelty free event

* Volunteer models (sizes 8-16) to showcase cool second-hand clothes from Opportunity for Animals. Stage (dance, drama, etc) experience would be great, but isn’t essential. You will need to be available for at least 3 rehearsals during weekends leading up to the event. Auditions are on 9 July at 2pm at the Wellington Performing Arts Centre, 25 Vivian Street, Wellington. Please bring heels or other cool shoes if you have them ...

* Volunteers to help with setup, catering, hanging clothes, ironing, on the door, dressing models etc…

* Volunteer hairdressers, makeup artists, wardrobe assistants, sound/lighting technicians ...

All volunteers will get a free goodie bag of vegan treats! Helping out with this show offers great experience if you are interested in event organizing...
