Thunder is more interested in cuddles than the new house
Our house is almost finished!!! We have been awaiting completion of our house before taking in more animals – and the end is in sight!
We have had enormous quantities of rain which are mixing with the freshly dug trenches for the new house piping and creating mud galore! Urg, we can’t wait for summer!
We took in and tamed a lovely wild kitten “Lux” who befriended everyone, including the other cats at the sanctuary. We were sad to see him go but very happy with the wonderful new home he has gone to. Thanks Kirsty and family for giving Lux a chance for a wonderful happy life! Sure beats a cold hungry winter in the wild!
We started building a shelter for the miniature pony (and future animals) which is due to be finished this week (if it stops raining!!)
We purchased some aviaries that we have been dismantling for transport. The second hand materials and components will be a great help towards building a number of other structures including a bunny house, aviaries and chookhouse.
Thunder the miniature pony is up to date with vaccinations, teeth filing and hoof trimming and he has a great bill of health from the vet.
We have been varnishing the inside of the house as areas are finished by the builders. Once it stops raining we will be able to do the outside and will get the code of compliance signed off from the Council and we will be all go!
