When he was just 6 months old, Gilgamesh was caught in a possum trap in the bush. Luckily he was found and taken straight to the SPCA where he was mended and de-sexed before being brought out to The Black Sheep Sanctuary for rehabilitation. To begin with he was very timid, hiding behind the furniture and only coming out to eat. But eventually, with the help of Nana the cat and a couple of wild kittens, he began to trust humans more and more. Now, after being with us for 6 months, he likes sitting on a lap, having a wee pat, and playing lots. Gilgamesh needs guardians who will be patient, caring, maybe either have experience with cats, or have cats already. He is good with other cats but afraid of dogs. Bear in mind he was once wild so he may take extra time adjusting to his new environment. We also have 3 month old Mogwai looking for a new home. He was found running across the motorway and fortunately was not badly injured. Now after spending time with humans and domesticated cats, and being de-sexed, this once wild kitten is ready to go to a permanent home. It would be ideal if Gilgamesh and Mogwai could go to the same home, as they love nothing more than to play together and groom one another, plus they may settle in better if they are together. We'd love to hear from you if you think you could offer Gilgamesh and/or Mogwai a loving home! blacksheepotaki@gmail.com |
